Chimpanzee tracking is the signature experience in Kibale Forest National Park and is often the main reason travelers include it in their Uganda itinerary. Chimpanzee tracking starts at the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre, where visitors receive a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. The trek can last between 2 to 4 hours depending on the chimpanzees‘ location, and once found, guests are allowed to observe them for one magical hour.
