Samz Tours Uganda – Booking Terms & Conditions

To confirm your safari booking with Samz Tours Uganda, a deposit is required based on the time of year:

For the low season (typically outside peak travel months), we require a 40% deposit of the total tour cost to secure your reservation and, where applicable, to reserve gorilla permits.
During the peak season (from July to September), a 50% deposit of the total tour cost is necessary to ensure your reservation and to secure permits when required.
The remaining balance is due at least two weeks prior to your arrival.
For bookings made less than one month before departure, the full 100% payment of the tour cost is required upfront.
Payments should be made via international bank transfer to our company account in Uganda.

Our cancellation policy is determined by the number of days remaining before the tour departure:

More than 60 days before departure: Full refund of any deposit paid.
Between 60 and 30 days before departure: A 70% refund of the deposit amount.
Between 29 and 15 days before departure: A 30% refund of the deposit amount.
Less than 15 days before departure: No refund is provided.
Please note that unused portions of the safari cannot be refunded once the tour has commenced.

Please be aware that gorilla permits in Uganda are non-refundable once booked, as per the policy of the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).

Our tour tariffs are based on all known costs and exchange rates at the time of booking. Should any significant changes occur that are beyond our control, we will immediately notify our clients of such adjustments.
We reserve the right to alter any travel arrangements due to unforeseen local conditions. Additionally, Samz Tours Uganda has the discretion to refuse participation or continuation on any tour to a client who is deemed to be causing a hazard or inconvenience to other travelers or to the environment and ecosystems.
Children under the age of 15 are not permitted to participate in gorilla or chimpanzee trekking activities.
Currency notes guidelines: Please note that U.S. Dollar banknotes issued before 2007 are accepted in Uganda, but with a lower exchange rate. We recommend that travelers bring more recent U.S. Dollar banknotes to ensure the best exchange rates.
